Reiki
Reiki has been called the 'Healing touch'. If you are suffering from pain, stress or just not feeling up to scratch, then maybe a full Reiki treatment would help you. Many clients over the last six years have been helped by this wonderful Japanese method.
Reiki is a method of natural healing, which is centred upon universal life-force energy, the meaning of the Japanese word Reiki. Dr Mikao Usui, a Japanese theologist, rediscovered the art of healing using and by transferring this universal life energy. It can be applied to all organisms; plants and animals can benefit as well as people. Scientific studies have shown that Reiki can positively effect the properties of water.
The Reiki energy can be transferred to others to use for healing of themselves or others by a series of attunements. This can only be done by a Reiki Master. Courses for Reiki I, II and III take place at the Windmill.
When you take a Reiki treatment you:
- Receive universal life energy
- Will have a feeling of deep relaxation
- Energy blockages are removed allowing a flow of life energy throughout the body
- Toxins of various sorts are removed; these and other waste products are removed from the system more quickly. When toxins have been removed from the body, more energy can be received and the vital processes and functions become more highly tuned.
- Reiki will always benefit the recipient
- Reiki is powerful but gentle
- Reiki can restore and balance spiritual equilibrium
- Reiki adjusts itself to the needs of the recipient
- Reiki can relieve pain
What does the treatment involve?
The client will usually lie on a couch fully clothed. The practitioner will place their hands on the client in a given pattern. The client may feel heat or tingling where the hands are placed. The treatment leaves the client with a sense of well being and relaxation. It will typically last one hour.
Reiki is safe for use in pregnancy and can benefit mother and baby.
