I have worked in the field of Complementary Therapies for over 30 years.

I started working in a health farm as a Naturopathic nurse where I was given training from the resident osteopath. I then qualified as a masseuse and worked for 6 years in London, working and learning from oriental masseuses.

After raising a family and moving to Suffolk, I wanted to further my education in a field where I could use my skills to benefit others. I trained for my first year in Shiatsu at the East Anglian School of Shiatsu. This style of Shiatsu was more macrobiotic and the technique was akin to Thai massage. I decided to complete the 3-year course at the Shiatsu College in Norwich where they taught us a combination of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Zen and the 5 elements, combined with western Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology.

As a complement to Shiatsu, I have also studied Reiki and Waveform, which I have found helpful in some treatments.

I have worked with sufferers of MS at Ipswich Hospital and within an occupational setting, offering Shiatsu for stress reduction to office workers.

As well as helping with many physical conditions, such as asthma, arthritis, back pain, digestive problems, headaches, PMT and ME, I have found Shiatsu to aid emotional stability, self-confidence, and peace of mind. It is also very effective in the treatment of stress, anxiety, depression, fatigue and grief. Shiatsu helps you to heal yourself.
