Rosa Waller – MA Psychotherapy and Counselling, UKCP Accredited, MBACP
I have been working as a counsellor and psychotherapist for many years. Along with my colleagues from the Ruby Centre in Felixstowe I am now able to offer appointments at the Windmill.
I am a fully qualified counsellor and psychotherapist, accredited with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy and working to their Code of Ethics. I hold a Masters degree in Psychotherapy and Counselling and am a Member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy. As well as working for the Ruby Centre I also work as a university counsellor.
Psychotherapy and counselling are psychological therapies which can help people to explore and understand their difficulties and to enable them to make different choices and facilitate change in their lives. I work collaboratively with clients with an ethos of respect, empathy and empowerment.
I work in an integrative way drawing from different therapeutic approaches to offer the most appropriate response to the needs of the individual. This means that my work draws from both humanistic and psychodynamic traditions of psychotherapy. More specifically, my approach is informed by Cognitive Analytic Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
The kinds of problems that I can help with are:
- anxiety and panic
- low self esteem and lack of self confidence
- relationship issues
- eating disorders
- bereavement and loss
- work related issues
- childhood abuse
- mental health and psychiatric problems
- anger management.
